Carbon Monoxide Testing
Now FREE With All Furnace Cleaning Packages
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colorless and odorless gas that can leak from any number of sources within your home, including your furnace, water heater, and fireplace. Unfortunately, CO poisoning is often confused with regular flu symptoms, making it difficult to detect until the levels have gotten dangerously high.
CO testing detects even the smallest cracks and blockages in the heat exchanger of your furnace before the levels of CO become dangerously high and are registered by your Carbon Monoxide alarm.
CO and Combustible Gas Test Procedure
- Service technician uses an Ultra-Trac detector to detect levels of combustible gases and Carbon Monoxide (CO)
- Measurements of the calibrated gas (0-100% by volume) are calculated with the use of the internal thermoconductivity-type sensors
- CO is measured in the part per million (ppm) range
- The HVAC system is checked for small cracks and blockages before they become big safety concerns
